As a little introduction to this site, which is to display my photography work, here's a small section about myself, and how I became interested in photography.

In 1993 I started out in photography with a level entry Canon film camera with a handful of lenses.  After spending a few years building a collection of my own images (and equipment!), I began to spend some of my spare time helping out a local professional photographer, covering weddings and hotel brochure work.

Shortly afterwards, I was commissioned to produce fashion and stock work for local magazines, Jersey Now and Holiday Post, as well as for other local companies and members of the public. 

In recent years I've moved from 35mm and medium format film, into the world of digital photography and in particular the additional challenges of underwater photography - in July 2004 I came third in the DAN Europe, international underwater photography competition followed by a succession of other awards.  In July 2005 I gained my LRPS qualification from the Royal Photographic Society. 

Recently I have provided photographs for Jersey Tourism for their 2006, 2007 & 2008 brochures.

Originally, I intended this site to contain only images from around the island, hence the name, however I have also begun to include those images taken from other places around the world, particularly in the underwater sections. 

New photographs are being constantly added to the site, often within hours of being shot, so please check in every now and then to see my latest work. 

AFor best results viewing the photographs on this site, I recommend that you adjust the brightness and contrast levels on your computer screen so that you can see the difference (at least) between X,Y and Z and ideally A,B and C, on the greyscale graph below.   This will ensure that you actually see a reasonably true representation of the photographs, although please bare in mind that all those photo's on this site have been significantly reduced in resolution and quality from the original files.

All images from this site are available for sale, either as a print or licenced digital copy for download. I also undertake commissions if you cannot find the image you are looking for.
